Environment Washington Staff
Sarah Lukins is Environment Washington’s campaign organizer for our Global Warming Solutions Campaign. Sarah started organizing with OSPIRG at Southern Oregon University in August 2015. As a campus organizer, Sarah worked with students to protect Crater Lake, preserve bee populations and to pass landmark legislation to get Oregon off coal by 2030 and increase its renewable energy portfolio standards to 50 percent by 2040.
Sarah grew up on Bainbridge Island and attended Carleton College, graduating in 2015. In college she was deeply engaged in campus sustainability as well as banning sulfide mining in Northern Minnesota. She’s excited to be back in the Northwest, closer to home, and working on climate. Sarah enjoys hiking, a good book, and finding the best berry picking spots in the summer.
