Washington climate action
Gov. Gregoire’s Climate Advisory Team (CAT) continues to meet and mull over a variety of policy options for reducing global warming pollution in Washington state. The stakeholder group made up of state environmental, business, labor, tribal, religious and local and state government leaders will finalize its list of recommendations to the governor and legislature by the end of the year.
Right now, these policy options are being vetted by Technical Working Groups (TWGs) working in the areas of transportation; buildings, commerce and industry; and energy supply, forestry and agriculture. Environment Washington and its coalition partners are involved in all the twgs and the cat itself. Again, your input and comments have been critical to our ability to move forward strong policy recommendations.
