Bill LaBorde is the Director of the Environment Washington Research & Policy Center. As the state lobbyist for the NW
Energy Coalition, he played a leading role in passing state energy
efficiency standards, a carbon mitigation requirement for siting new
power plants and state tax credits for households installing solar
energy systems. Bill serves on the boards of Tacoma Public Utilities,
NW Energy Coalition and Renewable NW Project. Bill also serves on the
Sound Transit Citizen Oversight Panel and has worked as the director of
state policy for Transportation Choices Coalition. He is a graduate of
UC Berkeley and Seattle University Law School.
Amy
Peterson is the field associate for Environment Washington Research & Policy Center. She joined
WashPIRG in 2006 where she worked to get out the vote to pass the Clean
Energy Initiative, I-937. Since then, Amy has worked to build grassroots
support for Environment Washington's other campaigns, on both the state and
federal levels. Amy graduated with honors from Hamline University in
Minnesota with a degree in environmental studies and political
science.
