Environment Washington Research & Policy Center

In 2007, Environment Washington Research & Policy Center became the new home of Washington Public Interest Research Group (WashPIRG) Foundation’s environmental work, focusing exclusively on protecting Washington's air, water and open space.

Drawing on more than 30 years of experience, our professional staff combines independent research, practical ideas and effective educational campaigns to overcome the opposition of special interests and win real results for Washington's environment.

Environment Washington Research & Policy Center has been a leader on key environmental issues in Washington, including renewable energy, reducing global warming pollution, protecting Puget Sound, preserving forests and open spaces, and managing growth.
